What is Self-Publishing? What is Infopreneurship? Can you make money from knowledge?How are Self-Publishing, Infopreneurship and make money from knowledge related? Basically we are talking about money making ideas and one of the best ways to make money is turning what you know into something that you can make money from. In the concepts of creating wealth, one important factor to creating wealth for financial independence is the ability to create money-making-machines. Infopreneurship, or what we simply term as “Information Marketing” basically means publishing what you know, ie your knowledge into formats that you can sell and market… and this fits nicely within the criteria of a good money-making-machine. It means you as the Author of the knowledge and information, publishes it into marketable formats (products or services); in other words, you as the Author now becomes the Publisher too. In traditional publishing the Author and the Publisher are normally 2 independent parties working together, the Author and Publisher is the same person, ie YOU! You take what you know, self-publish into either books, cds, ebooks or you can speak or train on what you know. In doing so, you are starting to make money from information…thus the start of your infopreneurship. So the answer is yes…you can make money from what you know when you turn these knowledge or information into formats that you can sell. In the process of doing so, you are actually publishing yourself and at the same time, you are the infopreneur. Not everyone can be a successful self-publisher as it depends on what you want to achieve. If you are just keen to write, publish and see your name printed…but have no interest in really making money or creating wealth, and have no interest in the business aspects of publishing yourself, ie as the infopreneur… then maybe this is not the option for you. You may be better off sending your manuscript to traditional publishers! But if you are looking into MSIs, money-making ideas, wealth creations, financial independence and is very motivated and prepared to think like a infopreneur/entrepreneur and wants to manage this business, then yes…this is the way to go.
